Tibet Yak Museum will be closed on 1st Nov 2019

Tibet Yak Museum will hold the “Yak culture exhibition in Zhejiang Province” with Zhejiang Nature Museum. In order to make preparations and exhibitions well, the museum is scheduled to close on 1st Nov 2019 and reopen on 1st April 2020 with the approval of Lhasa people’s government.

Tibet Yak Museum is part of the mass culture and sports center of Lhasa. This 4A tourist attraction is the only museum in China dedicated to yak and yak culture.

In addition to the magnificent main hall, there are yak hall of gratitude, yak hall of exploration, yak hall of association and yak hall of Spiritual beauty, respectively displaying yak of nature and science, yak of humanity and history, yak of spirit and art. Here, yak related knowledge can be seen, and yak and human life scene simulation, as well as rock paintings, murals, modern painting and calligraphy, photography, folk art and life yak image.
