Temporary Building’s Demolition and Resettlement

According to the office of environmental protection supervision and rectification and propaganda department of Dangxiong Conty, the temporary building’s demolition and resettlement has start fully. At present, 99% of the households have signed the demolition agreement.

This work start at October 22, snowing. In order to protect precious resources of Namtso, local staff took part in the demolition and resettlement of 107 temporary buildings and 45 temporary booths in Namtso by crossing Naganla Pass, with altitude over 5190 meter. After arriving at the Namtso, the staff took out the Tibetan-Chinese bilingual version of the demolition agreement and explained the demolition policy to each head of household. Soon after that, senior villager Aga pressed their fingerprints on the demolition agreement and took the staff Zhaxi Island, becoming the first voluntary demolition household in Namtso Nature Reserve.

Dorji, the leader of the staff, said that in order to order to ensure the legitimate and reasonable interests of the demolition, Lhasa Municipal Government, Dangxiong County Government and Lhasa Potala Tourism and Cultural Group jointly invested 25 million yuan as compensation for the demolition. Among them, they awarded 20,000 yuan to the landlords who signed the agreement within the time limit, which played a good role in further enhancing their enthusiasm. Many homeowners signed the demolition agreement at the stage of propaganda and mobilization.

It is understood that in order to do a good job in the planning and management of tourist attractions, Lhasa has just completed the "overall planning of small towns with Namtso Lake Township" which has been submitted to the Tibet Autonomous Region Bureau of Residential Construction for examination and approval; the overall planning of Namtso scenic spot and the "ecological tourism project planning of Lhasa Namtso District" have passed the evaluation. In order to do well in the resettlement and demolition of Namtso scenic spot merchants, the relocation site started construction on March 19, which is currently in accordance with the time limit for rectification. They strive to complete on December 31.

Dear Mr. To***,

Thanks very much for your inquiry. Travelling to Tibet from Nepal, you need to apply for Chinese Group Visa in Kathmandu. Firstly, we'll apply for visa invitation letter with copy of your passport. Next, we'll send visa invitation letter to you and our partner in Kathmandu. When you arrive in Kathmandu, you need to meet with our partner and give them your original passport, then they will go to Chinese embassy and apply for Chinese Group Visa for you. When you board plane from Kathmandu to Lhasa, they'll only check your passport and Chinese Group Visa. Apart from Chinese Group Visa, you also need Tibet Permit, we'lll apply for Tibet Permit for you in Lhasa, and our guide will pick you up at Lhasa airport with your permit.
