The Road to Namtso Lake Has Been Open, Vehicles with Anti-slip Chains are Allowed to Pass

On 8th November, 2019, the reporter learned from the management office of Namtso scenic area, because there was no snow in these days, snow shoveling near Namtso was basically completed, the road has been open, most of the tourist cars with anti-slip chain have entered the scenic area.

Since 31st October, Namtso scenic area has been hit by three heavy snow, snow up to 18 cm thick. For safety reasons, the scenic area was temporarily closed to visitors on 31st October and 7th November.

After the unremitting work of the scenic area staff, at present, the ticket office of the scenic area to Tashi peninsula along the road has basically shoveled snow, but for the safety of tourists and drivers, the road only allow vehicles with anti-slip chain to pass.

Staff at the scenic spot said that there were more tourists after the snow, and those who had been blocked by the snow were waiting for a glimpse of Namtso Lake.

From 1st November to 15th March, the entrance fee to Namtso Lake will be lowered to 30 Yuan, which is not to be missed by tourists who want to see the snow.
