Developing Green Ecotourism in Tibet

Time: 26-09-2018 This Article is Composed by BudgetTibetTour

The report of 19th CPC National Congress point out that it is necessary to practice the concept of "Green mountains and clear water are equal to mountains of gold and silver" and adhere to the basic national policy of conserving resources and protecting the environment.

In recent years, the Chamdo Government vigorously developed ecotourism, firmly established the health concept of "tourism+ low carbon, green travel", and organized "Chamdo Second Ring Road Cycling Race", "the Third Tourism Culture of tea Horse Road" and some other activities to enhance the public's sense of responsibility for protecting the ecological environment, and create a good atmosphere for the nation to build and participate in tourism.

Not destroying the ecological environment is the basic principle and bottom line for the development of eco-tourism. The original intention and ultimate goal of developing eco-tourism should be to use tourism revenue to feed back and promote the protection of the ecological environment. Regardless of the decision makers, managers or tourists, they must have a scientific understanding of the ecotourism and a correct way to do it. For the government, it is necessary to strictly implement dual control of the environmental quality bottom line and the ecological protection red line. Strictly implement the compensation system for ecological environment damage. For hotel and other tourist facilities, we must do a controllable environmental protection plan in the early stage.

Dear Mr. To***,

Thanks very much for your inquiry. Travelling to Tibet from Nepal, you need to apply for Chinese Group Visa in Kathmandu. Firstly, we'll apply for visa invitation letter with copy of your passport. Next, we'll send visa invitation letter to you and our partner in Kathmandu. When you arrive in Kathmandu, you need to meet with our partner and give them your original passport, then they will go to Chinese embassy and apply for Chinese Group Visa for you. When you board plane from Kathmandu to Lhasa, they'll only check your passport and Chinese Group Visa. Apart from Chinese Group Visa, you also need Tibet Permit, we'lll apply for Tibet Permit for you in Lhasa, and our guide will pick you up at Lhasa airport with your permit. I will send detailed itinerary to your email, please check it. Thanks & Regards
