Trip Overview

This 8 days small group tour to Mount Everest Base Camp (North Face) is one of our most popular adventures to the Himalayas. Start easy in Lhasa from its historic palaces and monasteries, tourists can smoothly acclimatize themselves while visiting the city for the first 3 days. No matter visit the sacred sites of Potala Palace and Johkang Temple, stroll on the bazaar-like Barkhor Street full of pilgrims, or step into a tranquil monastery of only sutra chanting, you can easily tell the difference of this awe-inspiring plateau holy city from others. Picturesque sceneries of the 1st day out of Lhasa come up all the way, and the first impressive site should be the Yamdrok Lake, which seen, from the Gangbala Pass, like a turquoise long belt embedded on the Himalayas. Karola Glacier is the nearest of its kind, rising up into sky just besides the highway. Gyantse is quite a small yet distinctive county with strong Tibetan ambience, the ancient city-wall, the unique monastery & stupa, the dominating castle are all there waiting. After one more night’s acclimatizing-sleep in Shigatse, the drive to Mt. Everest only has 350km left, most of landscapes are of barren hilly plateau until turning left into Mt. Everest Nature Reserve at Tingri. The reserve holds world’s some of the highest mountains over 8000 meters with all can be seen from the Gyalpo-la Pass; the Rongbuk Monastery, highest one in the world, is the best position to appreciate this nature’s masterpiece. When weather is good, the golden sunset and sunrise views of this giant are marvelous speechlessly. By doing such a trip, not only we meet memorable and fabulous scenes we dreamed, but also achieve a new life-time record high challenge.

Dear sir, madam,

I have a question about the 8-day tour from 29 Jan 2019. I am a solo traveler and really want to go to Tibet to do this tour but is it possible for me join this group tour by my self? Or do I have to be lucky that another solo traveler will join this group?

I am looking forward hearing from you!

Kind regards, Pi***

Dear Mr. Pi***,

Thank you very much for your inquiry. Since the early February is our Spring Festival, the Tibet will close to foreign tourists from end of January. You can travel Tibet in the middle of Jan, I was wondering whether you could advance your tour or not. I will send detailed itinerary to your email, please check it. Warm regards,

user portrait Mr. Ar*** from: 8 Days Tibet Mt. Everest Base Camp Group Tour

Hi there, I'm a student in Tianjin and next January/February my friend and I would like to go to Tibet. The 8-day EBC tour starting January the 29th looks really great. However, we are on a bit of a tight budget. Is there any way we can reduce the cost? - for example, are there cheaper accommodation options than the 3-star hotels? Are there some scenic spots which we can skip? Also, we can both speak Chinese, so are there any Chinese-speaking tour options which would be cheaper? I'd be grateful for any information you can give. Thank you.

Answered by Helen

Dear Mr. Ar***,

Thanks very much for your inquiry. As the beginning of February is Tibetan New Year, the Tibet maybe closed to tourists during that time. I was wondering whether you could advance your tour or not. You can start your tour on 23rd Jan. If you don’t mind staying in guesthouse (dorm-bed, public bathroom, no breakfast), we can reduce some cost for you. In Jan, part of the spots are half fare. Because the entrance fee is not included in our tour price, if you don’t visit some spots, you can choose not to enter it and you don’t need to pay the entrance fee. I will send the detailed itinerary to your email, please check it. Warm regards
