Schedule today: Arrival at Lhasa at airport or train station in the afternoon, our guide and driver will pick you up and transfer you to hotel for acclimatization; You can hang out freely at this holy city to get the first impression of Tibet
Day 2: Lhasa City Tour
Highlights: Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street
Schedule today: In the morning, visit the landmark of Lhasa - Potala Palace, the successive Dalai Lama’s winter residence. In the afternoon, visit the center of Tibetan Buddhism - Jokhang Temple, where you will see lots of devoted pilgrimages coming from every corner of Tibet. Both sites are under the list of the world cultural heritages by the UNISCO. Afterwards, free time for you to wander through the Barkhor Street, the busiest street in old Lhasa quarter.

Day 3: Lhasa City Tour
Highlights: Drepung Monastery, Sera Monastery
Schedule today: In the morning, we will visit Drepung Monastery which is the biggest Tibetan Buddhism College with the biggest number of monks in Tibet. The monastery used to be the winter residence of the Dalai Lama before the 5th Dalai Lama moved his residency to the Potala Palace. And in the afternoon, we will visit another influential Gelugpa Monastery - Sera Monastery, where you can see the largest scale of sutra debating among monks is famous all across Tibet.

Day 4: Lhasa - Turpu Monastery - Yangpachen hot spring - Lhasa
Highlights: Turpu Monastery, Yangpachen hot spring
Schedule today: After breakfast at Lhasa hotel, we drive towards to the Turpu Monastery that is about 60km far away from Lhasa. The monastery is built in 1187, located in Ngagar Township, Doilungdeqen County to west of Lhasa. It’s the first monastery of the Gagyu Sect of Tibetan Buddhism and the main monastery of the Black Cap Group of the Garma Sect. Turpu Monastery sits at the foot of Baima Qoinzong Mountain, and there are mediation cells on the peaks flanking the monastery.
Then continue to Yangpachen and visit hot spring, you can enjoy a bath at the hot spring.

Day 5: Leave Lhasa
Schedule today: Tour ends, our guide and driver will drop you off at airport or train station in Lhasa. Welcome to Tibet next time.

Hi, I plan to arrive in Lhasa on the 9th of March in 2020 by train and would like to do a 4 day tour. Unfortunately there are no tours scheduled between January and April, will there be tours added or are there not any planned?

Thanks very much for your inquiry. We currently have no group tour in February and March, if you would like to travel Tibet in these months, we are able to arrange a private tour for you. While there are several confirmed departure date for the group tour in January and April, if your time is flexible, you may consider joining a group tour in April.
