My friend and I are looking to do a bit of cycling in Tibet for a couple of days (we will provide our own bikes) around December-January on the road to Everest Base Camp. Is there a way you can work us into a private tour schedule in a way that allows us to do our cycling? Our cycling will be based in one spot: we will be doing short laps up and down the mountain.
Cheers,
Mi***
Dear Mr. Mi***,
Greetings from Nancy at Budget Tibet Tour, thanks for visiting our website and sending your inquiry.
1) Would you please kindly let me know if you will cycle like the adventurous one? Because some people do the cycle in very dangerous mountain road.
2) I wonder whether you have cycled in high altitude place before? because if people who had serious altitude sickness, they cannot travel by car let alone doing cycle there. Tibet is different from any other places. Sometimes people had quite bad AMS there. What's more acute activities would make it worse.
3) If you do not mind would you please kindly let me know your age? So I can know how to arrange the cycling. And I can consider to arrange one near Lhasa city, not head to Everest. Of course you can travel to Everest when you are there, but not by bike. I am looking forward to hearing from you then I will provide you more details. Best regards.
