Day 1: Board the Train to Tibet
The train Z21 departs from Beijing West Railway Station at 20:00, the train journey from Beijing to Lhasa is about 41 hours. It takes about half hour to check in, please be sure to arrive at the train station at least one hour before the train departure. Your passport, Chinese visa and Tibet Permit will be checked when you check in. Stay overnight on the train.
Day 2: Travel on the Train
Today, you will spend the whole day on the train and you can enjoy the fabulous scenery along the railway. The train journey is long but not too boring, which will take you from eastern China to western Tibet, and you will enjoy a variety of scenery along the way, plain, grassland, desert, snow mountains and the lakes. The part of railway from Xining to Lhasa is the famous Qinghai-Tibet Railway in China, and especially from Golmud to Lhasa, it is the highlight of this train journey, you would be amazed at the wonderful plateau landscape. Day 3: Arrival and Acclimatization
Arrive at Lhasa train station at noon, your guide and driver will pick you up there in person with a warm Tibetan style welcome ceremony and afterwards transfer you to the hotel. From the train station it is only about 15km and takes about 20 minutes by drive. Afternoon, have a good rest to acclimatize the high altitude. Overnight in Lhasa.
Day 4: Lhasa City Tour
In the morning, you’ll visit the worldwide known landmark of Tibet - Potala Palace. The massive structure itself contains a small world within it. Mostly it is renowned as residence of the Dalai Lama lineages. In the afternoon, visit the Johkang Temple, it is the most scared shrine in Tibet which was built in 7th century and located at the herat of old town in Lhasa. The circuit around the Johkang called Barkor Street, where you can purchase souvenirs such as artifacts, antiques, Thangkas, and etc, taste local food like Tibetan noodles, buttered tea. Stay overnight in Lhasa.

Day 5: Lhasa City Tour
In the morning, drive about 8km west of central Lhasa to Drepung Monastery, once world’s largest monastery with about 10,000 monks, it used to serve as the government center in Tibet until fifth Dalai Lama moved to the famous Potala Palace. In the afternoon, drive to visit Sera Monastery, which is famous for its scripture debate session among monks that starting every afternoon except Sunday. Stay overnight in Lhasa.

Day 6: Departure Transfer
Today, Lhasa airport or train station dropping off, the time to say you farewells to your guide and driver, tour ends.

Hi, I plan to arrive in Lhasa on the 9th of March in 2020 by train and would like to do a 4 day tour. Unfortunately there are no tours scheduled between January and April, will there be tours added or are there not any planned?

While there are several confirmed departure date for the group tour in January and April, if your time is flexible, you may consider joining a group tour in April.
