user portrait Ms. Ho*** from: When to get my Tibet permit

Hello, we are considering to travel in Tibet in summer. We are a family of 5, two adults and three kids, age 13(then), 10, 8. We are interested in the 10 days Mt. EBC & Namtso Lake Group tour. We are US citizens with valid 10-year Chinese multiple entry visa, which we have applied when we went to Beijing in 2019. We are currently living in South Korea.

Questions:

1. Are kids suitable (or even allowed) for this tour?

2. If kids can join, are there any discount deals for kids?

Answered by Helen

Dear Ms. Ho***,

Greetings from Helen at Budget Tibet Tour and welcome you to join our 10 days Mt. Everest & Namtso Lake group tour. For your questions: 1. Your kids are suitable for this tour. Travelling in Tibet is as safe for kids as it is for their parents. While the high Tibetan plateau may be the highest place on the planet, very often, the kids that visit this region are more adaptable and have fewer problems than their parents. We also have arranged wonderful Tibet tours for many families with kids such as a tour to EBC for a family with a 3-year-old son, a 9-year-old girl and a 11-year-old boy, they did have fun in Tibet and there is no problem for them. Or you can take some medicine under the guidance of doctor to prevent high altitude before enter Tibet. 2. If kids travel with you, we'll offer some discount for them, please check your email and find more detailed information. Thanks & Regards

user portrait Mr. Da*** from: Kailash Circuit ( 18 Days )

Me and my friend would like to visit Tibet next spring (from 22 May to 12 June).

We yet do not know how exactly our itinerary will be, but it will begin in Lhasa, include Mont Kailash (spend 4 or 5 days there around the 5th of June) and finish at the Tibetan Border. The days in between are not planed yet (probably EBC or Guge or some lakes...).

I have carefully read the FAQ but still have a question:

If we design a tour ahead, will it be possible to change it on the way or do we have to stick strictly to the plan. For example, can we decide at the last moment to stay 2 days more at one place?

Can we go trekking in the Kailash or for short walks without the guide?

For our itinerary, what would be approximately the price for a car and a guide for 2 people on a budget with basic accommodation?

Thanks a lot for your answer,

Best regards,

Da***

Answered by Helen

Dear Mr. Da***,

Thanks very much for your inquiry. According to your inquiry, here we recommend 15 days Tibet Mt. Kailash group tour starting on 29th May to you. If you design tour itinerary, we are able to arrange a private tour for you, but there are only two of you, the price would be very high, it's almost twice the price of group tour. Joining this 15 days Tibet Mt. Kailash tour on 29th May, which is suitable for your itinerary, Mt. Kailash trekking, holy lakes Yamdrok Lake and Lake Manasarovar are also included in tour package. Moreover, you'll visit famous Saga Dawa Festival during this tour, this festival attracts numerous Chinese and foreign tourists every year. Meanwhile, if you want to leave Tibet from border, our guide will send you to Gyirong border on day 13, and you can take local jeep or bus from here to Kathmandu. I will send detailed itinerary to your email, please check it. Warm regards.

Dear Miss Ch***,

Greetings from Nancy at Budget Tibet Tour, thanks for visiting our website and sending your inquiry. Please worry free as you will arrive in Tibet on 8th or 9th Oct and leave on 24th Oct there would be 17days, which would be quite enough for the group tour. And also if you confirm it early, we are no problem to set the group tour departure date on 8th or 9th Oct as you want. Since you will have enough time, you will not miss Everest neither Kailash trekking. Oct is quite good for Tibet tour as clear weather and less people. And you will have more chance to have the view of the summit of Everest. I will send you the tour details to your email, please check it there. Best regards.

Hello:

I hope this email finds you well. I am interested in a ONE DAY tour of Lhasa. Yes, I understand one day is very short, especially when considering the 1,000 steps for the palace!

However, I am an experienced traveler and I move quickly. I also don't have many days for my visit.

I am thinking to visit April 2020. I will be visiting China: Beijing, Shanghai, Xi'an, Zhangjiajie and Guilin. I want to add Lhasa.

1) I will be a single traveler. 2) I prefer budget accommodations. 3) I usually do NOT suffer from altitude sickness.

The tour MUST include, please: *Bakhor street, *Johkang Temple and the *Potola Palace. If it can be added, then the Sera Monastery as well.

Please advise on cost. Right now, I think I will fly to Lhasa from Xi'an on an early morning flight, and fly out the next day from Lhasa to Chongqing.

Thank you.

Sincerely,
An***

user portrait Mr. Se*** from: 4 Days Lhasa Holy Landmarks Express

I would like to visit Lhasa for 4 days/3 nights between 20-23 Dec. I don't require accommodation, meals, etc. I just need a very basic tour package to be able to walk around Lhasa and visit the main temples and monasteries. Also, on the night of the 21st December, I want to see the butter lamp festival. I would be willing to pay a bit extra for the guide to take me there.

I will be coming from and returning to mainland china, where I currently live. I am looking for a very budget friendly option, as I won't be able to pay for an expensive trip at the moment because I am a student on a limited budget. Do you have any other options for me? Thanks and best regards,

Se***

Answered by Helen

On the night of 21st December, we can arrange a separate guide to escort with you to see the butter lamp festival. I will send detailed itinerary to your email, please check it. Warm regards.
