What’s the valid duration of Chinese Group Visa? By using this visa, can I visit other parts of China, like Beijing or Shanghai after my tour in Tibet? Can I extend it while I am in China?

Normally, valid duration of Chinese Group Visa issued in Kathmandu can be 15 days and 30 days. That is to say, you have 15 days or 30 days to visit the whole China including Tibet, so it’s definitely possible for you to visit other Chinese cities like Beijing and Shanghai after a tour in Tibet. It’s hard and complicated to extend the group visa, we advise you to plan your China tour (including Tibet)well before applying for your Chinese Group Visa, in case applicants need a 90 days group visa, applicants have to show up in the Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu to explain to the officers the reason. Lastly, there is no price difference no matter you want a 15, 30 or 90 days valid visa, normally we apply for the visa with 30 day validation for our clients.
