Part 2. How to Get to Lhasa from Beijing ( how long is the train/flight from Beijing to Lhasa, Tibet?)

Tourists can get to Lhasa directly by flight or train. Beijing operates a large number of international and domestic flights. For international tourists planning to go to Tibet, they can fly to Beijing from their own country and then fly to Lhasa  from Beijing directly. Compared with train, flight can save you much time on the way, and leave you more time to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Tibet and Beijing.

Flight - At present, there are 2 direct flights per day between Beijing and Lhasa, including one nonstop flight and one flight with a stopover in Chengdu. It takes about 4 hours for a nonstop flight, and the price of air tickets is about 516 USD. Travelers can take flight from Beijing Capital International Airport in Siwei Road, Capital Airport, Beijing, China, approximately 35km away from the center of Beijing.
